Supreme Interbreed Sheep Championship

The champion exhibit from each of the sheep breed sections to go forward to the Supreme Individual Championship, excluding the butchers lamb classes and the ewe with a lamb at foot. 

Championship classes Sponsored by the British Wool Board

The prize money of £50 for Champion and £25 for Reserve Champion respectively will be awarded to the classes CH1 CH2 and CH3 along with Champion and Reserve Champion rosettes. 

CH 1Interbreed  Ram Lamb class

Kindly sponsored by the Williams Family, Garreg Farm Whitford. The champion ram lamb will be awarded The Bert Jones / Elfed Bartley Shield. 

CH 2Interbreed Champion Pair class

The champion pair will be awarded the Martin Davies Perpetual Slate by the Davies Family. 

CH 3Interbreed Individual Supreme Champion classes

SHEEP HEALTH SCHEME (SHS) MV SECTION

This section is for fully accredited sheep only.
All sheep exhibited in this section must be accompanied by a SH20 form.
Scheme sheep must be loaded and unloaded at the point specified.
Scheme sheep must be a two-metre space maintained at all times between them and non-scheme sheep.
Scheme sheep must not be transported in the same vehicle as non-scheme sheep.

Exhibits to be penned by 9:15am. Judging to commence at 10am. 

If insufficient entries, classes will be amalgamated. 

ALL SHEEP TO REMAIN ON THE SHOW FIELD UNTIL 3.30PM OTHERWISE PRIZE MONEY WILL BE WITHHELD. Unless agreed with the section secretary.

A trophy, kindly presented by Caerwys Agricultural Show Committee will be awarded to the winner in these classes.  All entrants to receive rosettes.

To encourage development of young people to become stock people of the future, a cash award of £10 will be paid to every entrant in YS1 and a cash award of £10 will be paid to every entrant in YS2 for the 2024 show. 

The prize money has been kindly sponsored by Mr & Mrs Elfed Thomas Ty Ucha,  Arwel Davies & Mrs Gill Davies, L Riordan in Memory of Mr E V Thomas & Mrs A J Thomas, Mr & Mrs Le Faux , Royal Oak Caerwys.
